Welcome to the auditory decompression chamber. Grand piano watercolours making magic on the canvas. Nocturnes and modal turns from one of the most respected keys players in contemporary music. Sublime instrumental music to submerge yourself in. Debussy meets Satie in a national park outside of Melbourne at sunrise. A deep breath, an unfurling, a reset.
Some Days is the astounding new EP from Simon Mavin, best known as the keyboardist for the Grammy nominated, boundary-destroying funk, jazz and soul outfit, Hiatus Kaiyote. When he’s not touring the globe with that outfit, Simon also plays with Swooping, The Putbacks, and The Sweet Enoughs. Some Days sees Simon in solo piano mode, exploring the classical music sounds he grew up with. We’re so pleased to be pressing this wonderfully unique body of work.
Pressed onto exclusive eco-wax heavyweight black vinyl which reduces the carbon footprint of the record by 92%, it’s limited to only 200 copies in the world.
