It's just what we need right now.
A band - a proper band at that - to believe in. To dive in, headfirst, into their world. To take us on a journey through music, art and "culture, alienation, boredom and despair". That understand the inequalities of capitalism and the pointlessness of youth, yet embrace the frivolity of life and all it's worries - and set it to music.
And what music - melodic punk if you want, that might sound something like Wolf Alice covering The Police, with Nevermind guitars and poetic storytelling that keeps unpeeling itself on every listen.
We found them. They're that band.
This is Loose Content. They're originally from The Northern Rivers, and now live in a share house in Coburg surrounded by mould and ashtrays. Everything is as it should be.
‘Where The Hollow People Sleep’ weaves together literary inspiration with raw musicality, creating a compelling narrative that lingers long after the last note.
Through its themes of isolation and hollowness, the song delves into the psychopathy that can hide behind a mask of love, prompting reflection on the fragility of relationships and the darkness that can emerge in moments of despair.
This is their debut single proper with a full EP to come in the new year. They'll be touring the length and breadth of Australia from October 2024.
This is Loose Content. Proudly on Impressed Recordings.
Presented on clear red 7" vinyl, strictly limited to 200 copies and hand stamped by ourselves and the band (with footage to follow). Shipping included in Australia and calculated at checkout for the rest of the world.
