Egoism Collection

Pressed in limited numbers and designed for the band’s fans and collectors, the release captures the band’s signature haze - soft-focus guitars, tender Sydney-sider lyricism, melodies that bloom slowly and stay with you. On vinyl, their sound deepens; it stretches out, becomes tactile - with a custom-made etching of the band in one side of the record.
It is an exclusive Impressed release that asks to be experienced, not streamed in passing. It’s limited to only 300 copies.
Following the success of their Top 10 ARIA Australian Album “And Go Nowhere”, Sydney’s rising dream pop emo trio EGOISM announce their limited edition pressing of the reworked (Trust Me) tracks, six live-evolved reinterpretations from “And Go Nowhere”.
The one-sided vinyl release includes two exclusive tracks only available as part of this Record Store Day release, pressed on custom smoky colourway with an etched side.
“You develop a different relationship with a song once you’ve played it live for a while,” the band explain. “Arrangements evolve, especially in stripped-back sets. (Trust Me) was an experiment to reflect that looser, DIY energy. It’s all home recorded, something lo-fi that captures the versions of the songs we’d grown into over time.”

Impressed is proud to present And Go Nowhere - by Australian dream pop band egoism.
"Music has been the only real constant to us in the past couple years. Some of the songs were ways of convincing us what to do to make things better, like moving out, quitting uni or our jobs to focus on music, gaining control of things we never had control of before, and not giving up."
The initial high school meeting between Scout Eastman (vocals, guitar, bass) Olive Rush (vocals, bass, guitar) morphed into writing music together and eventually led to their formation as a duo and the release of their singles Sorry (2018), Enemies
Since their formation as the trio, Egoism have toured with The Rions, Middle Kids, Teenage Dads, played BIGSOUND, were nominated for both Song of the Year and Next Big Thing in the FBi SMAC awards, and became triple J Unearthed's 11th most played artist of the year. They are now back with their album and go nowhere.
Please note that the limited edition, navy blue and white colour-in-colour vinyl is SOLD OUT and will not be re-pressed.
