Deep Sea Arcade - Outlands - Vinyl LP

‘I have beautiful nostalgic memories of driving around Sydney in the excitement of my youth listening to ‘Girls’ when this album came out. Can’t wait to revisit that on vinyl’
Johnny Took - DMA’s

Impressed Recordings is proud to repress Sydney Indie Psych legends Deep Sea Arcade’s debut 2012 album ‘Outlands’.

Deep Sea Arcade began as a home recording project for founding members, Nic McKenzie and Nick Weaver while in their mid-teens, using four-track tape recorders, broadcast microphones, analog synths and unconventional computer programs.

Originally released in 2012 through Ivy League Records, Outlands was named a Feature Album by both Triple J and FBi Radio and received international support from BBC Radio, KCRW, and XFM, among others. The band toured extensively, sharing stages with acts like Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Spoon, and Modest Mouse, and performing at major festivals like Lowlands, Primavera Sound, and The Great Escape.

Limited to only 200 copies in neon pink heavyweight vinyl, with an individually-numbered obi strip.

Great Album

Love the album - less so the state it arrived in

Having incurred a couple of dispatch delays (manufacturing delays I believe), I was excited to finally receive this in my hands. As an international buyer (UK) I paid almost as much for dispatch as the record itself. The package hadn't been abused, the seal was well stuck but the record sleeve was sadly split - flimsy (admittedly attractive) tissue paper offered very little cushion to assist the record over the ocean(s).

All in all, a bit miffed to be honest. Oh well

An Absolute Gem

When the record is this good, you can never go wrong with a Ltd. Edition Vinyl. Solid Vinyl, Beautiful Color, Hand Numbered, Incredible. Shout out to Aussie Post and the USPS for a superior delivery time despite the Holidays. Impressed Records, indeed.
