Impressed are proud to present Kula Shaker's latest album, Wormslayer, on limited edition 'burning sun' marbled vinyl, exclusive for Australia and New Zealand fans - limited to just 100 copies in a gatefold sleeve.

Emerging in the midst of Britpop’s lad-culture swagger and retrograde cool, Kula Shaker appeared like a luminous anomaly—flooded with Sanskrit, and sitar feedback. Fronted by the spiritually restless Crispian Mills, the band carved out their own mystical counter-narrative in the mid-'90s, fusing British psychedelia with Indian classical influences in a way that felt less like a gimmick and more like an invocation.

Their debut album, K, - recently exclusively repressed by Impressed -  exploded onto the UK charts in 1996, debuting at number 1 —a remarkable feat for a band whose best-known single (Govinda) was sung entirely in Sanskrit. But beyond the novelty, there was a muscular musicality: soaring Hammond organ lines courtesy of Jay Darlington, thunderous rhythms from Paul Winterhart, and Alonza Bevan’s melodic bass grounding the cosmic swirl. 

Kula Shaker remain rare: a rock band that never abandoned wonder, never lost the thread, and never apologised for believing that music can be more than sound—it can be spirit.
