Real Sunnies is a side project born from the world of Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, but it quickly establishes a character of its own. Where RBCF’s guitars tend to race toward the horizon, Real Sunnies feels looser, stranger and closer to the floor - scrappy guitar music with melody buried beneath the distortion and the easy chemistry of musicians who already know how to move around one another.
On vinyl, that looseness becomes part of the appeal. Guitars buzz, rhythms tumble forward and the songs retain the rough edges that make them feel alive. It’s less a polished offshoot than a glimpse sideways: familiar DNA pushed into a smaller, more immediate and wonderfully unguarded space.
A particularly good one for anyone who has worn out their copy of Hope Downs and wants to know what happens when some of that energy is allowed to wander off the map.
200 copies pressed in burnt orange vinyl featuring our signature numbered obi strip.
